Alex is a retired teacher and started painting with a local art group in Samford, eight years ago. After exploring a variety of painting mediums, she currently works mainly with watercolours and acrylic paints. Using realistic styles, Alex looks to the local area for inspiration to paint landscapes, both natural and the built environment.

Alex has successfully exhibited at the Caboolture Hub Gallery, as part of the Moreton Bay Regional Council’s ‘Upstart’ Art Program for emerging artists.

Her other interests include bushwalking with grandchildren, volunteer teaching in a local primary school, supporting the Community Library and knitting and sewing for various charities.

She was accepted as a Member of the Dayboro Art Gallery in 2020.
