John Good

I was born in Melbourne and developed an interest in Art at an early age under the influence of my father, but it was not until the late nineties, having moved to Queensland, that I was able to pursue my Art more seriously.

I have been fortunate to have trained under Todd Whisson, Colley Whisson and ron Cottrell in Queensland and during a recent period in Melbourne I was able to study under John Dudley and Charlie Tong at the Emerald Arts Society, where I was a member.

I am currently a member of the Dayboro Art Gallery and the Bribie Island Community Arts Centre.

My preferred subjects are land and seascapes painted in an impressionist style and I have travelled frequently between Queensland and Victoria in search of a new and varied coastal and bush scenery.

My paintings are found in many private collections throughout Australia as well as in England and Asia.

If I can visualize, walking into my subjects I have the feeling of my artwork completed.

Artistically there is no ultimate goal…. if perfection is ever achieved then my artistic journey is over for me.
