Dayboro Day 2024 and the New Artist Arena 1

The Dayboro Art Gallery is buzzing with activity.

Unveiling Local Gems & Festival Fun: Celebrate Dayboro with a Tawny Trails & Dayboro Day Double Header!

What a ripper weekend celebrating our awesome region, enjoying festival fun and stunning local art!  The last Sunday of May was a double dose of delight

Kicked off with Tawny Trails: Exploring those hidden gems, studios and creative corners right here in our own backyard – Dayboro and Samford! It was the perfect chance to discover the incredible talent we have lurking around our streets. It was an immersive experience of works of local artists, from painters and potters to sculptors and illustrators.

NEW this year, the Dayboro Art Gallery teamed up with a heap of local legends to create a cracker of an Artist Arena for the Dayboro Day Festival. We got to see what our neighbours have been creating and learn a new skill at a live demonstration. There was a dedicated kids’ corner to keep the little ones entertained, too, all while supporting our local artists and businesses!

This was a chance to see the region come alive! Support local artists, devour delicious food from familiar faces, and soaking up the festive atmosphere. It was the perfect opportunity to reconnect with your neighbours and rediscover all the amazing things that make this part of the world such a special place.

The stars of the DAG Artist Arena demonstrations were Majell Holton, Sharon Harper-Greentree, Libby North, Jane Zadow and the brilliant Bruce Merser, who created Characatures all day for very happy visitors.

Below are some of the other brilliant artists in the Arena on the day
